"He will gather his chosen from the four winds."

The sacrifice of Jesus is perfect and complete, atoning for our sins, and he will one day come again to gather to his side all of us who have followed him. In doing this, he will judge between the living - those who have remained faithful to his commandments - and the dead: those who lived lives not as disciples. Christ’s judgment, then, simply reflects our status, it doesn’t impose it. God has chosen us for his own - we are the elect. Let us respond by choosing it for ourselves, as well.
