Everyone, great and small, will have God’s law written on their hearts, and their sins forgiven.

The Lord reaches out once again to his people. God, ever faithful, extends his hand to those who break the covenant. No longer depending on prophets to communicate, under the new covenant each individual will know God’s law, his love, his mercy. God’s personal invitation calls for a personal response. Will we receive it?

Installation as Acolyte Next Saturday, March 24th, Bishop Gary will celebrate the 5pm Mass and during the Mass install John Dawson as an Acolyte. This is a necessary and final step on his journey to Ordination, which will take place in July. The other three candidates for the diaconate were installed as Acolytes in February. While the duties of the Acolyte are minimal, the brief ritual emphasizes that these men are destined for service at the Altar (in addition to their ministry of Charity) and that they should learn all matters concerning public divine worship. They are also to strive to grasp their inner spiritual meaning so as to offer themselves daily to God and be an example to all as well as having a sincere love for the Mystical Body of Christ, the people of God, especially the weak and sick.
