What to expect.

Coming to Mass for the first time? Here's a simple walkthrough of a typical Sunday morning so you can arrive with confidence.

Step I

Arrival & parking.

●Free parking is available in our lot beside the church. There are clearly marked accessible spaces near the main entrance.
●Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before Mass. The doors open 20 minutes prior.
●Ushers in the foyer will greet you and help you find a seat.

Step II

Entering the church.

●As you enter the main doors, you’ll find a font of holy water near the entrance. Catholics dip their fingers and make the Sign of the Cross. Visitors are welcome to observe.
●Ushers will hand you a bulletin and can answer any questions.
●Genuflection (briefly kneeling) toward the altar is traditional for Catholics when entering a pew. Please do whatever feels comfortable for you.
●Silence and quiet reflection are appreciated before Mass begins.

III.

Step III

The Mass.

●A typical Sunday Mass runs 60 to 75 minutes. There are two main parts: the Liturgy of the Word (Scripture readings and homily) and the Liturgy of the Eucharist (the Consecration and Communion).
●The congregation sits, stands, and kneels at various points. Follow the lead of those around you, or simply sit and take it in.
●The bulletin and sometimes a worship aid will have the responses printed so you can follow along.
●Children are always welcome. If you need to step out with little ones, the foyer is a comfortable spot.

Step IV

After Mass.

●Most Sundays, parishioners gather for coffee and conversation in the hall after the 9 AM and 11 AM Masses.
●This is a great chance to meet people, ask questions, and get a feel for the community.
●Staff and volunteers are usually available to talk through next steps: RCIA, registering, or just getting connected.

For Our Non-Catholic Visitors

Not Catholic? That's okay.

You are genuinely welcome here. There's no pressure, no expectation to perform, and nobody will put you on the spot. Come as you are.

About Communion. In the Catholic Church, receiving Communion (the Eucharist) is reserved for baptized Catholics who are in a state of grace. If you are not Catholic, we invite you to come forward during Communion with your arms crossed over your chest. The priest or minister will offer a blessing instead. Or simply remain in your pew. Both are completely fine.
