The Diocese of Victoria is committed to a safe environment. If you or someone you know has experienced abuse by a member of the Church, please report it.
Report AbuseGod's mercy, made tangible.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also called Confession or Penance) is one of the most powerful gifts in the Church. Through the words of absolution spoken by the priest, we receive God's forgiveness for sins committed after Baptism, are reconciled with the Church, and have our peace restored. No matter how long it's been, you are always welcome.
Reconciliation requires only an honest heart. Before coming, take some quiet time to examine your conscience, reflecting on how you have loved God, yourself, and others. If you are unsure how to make a good confession, guides are available in the vestibule, and the priest is always happy to assist.
