- •The parish office will close early, at 2 PM, on Tuesday, August 18.
- •St. Vincent de Paul silent begging after the Saturday 5 PM Vigil Mass on August 15 and after both Sunday morning Masses on August 16. Thank you for your continued support.
- •Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast after both Masses on Sunday, August 16. Net proceeds go to the victims of the Venezuelan earthquake. All are welcome!
- •Harvest Give-Away: if you have extra fruit and vegetables, bring them to the church foyer to share from August 29 onward.
- •Mary's Statue Replacement Campaign is being coordinated by the CWL. To support the project, make your donation to the CWL and indicate it is for the Mary statue replacement.
- •CWL Garage Sale is coming October 3. If you are downsizing or have unneeded items, please save them for the sale.
- •Pastoral Care Training: nine free online sessions, Saturdays 9:30 AM to noon PST, Sept. 26 to Nov. 28, 2026 (no session Oct. 10). Info: moiraking@shaw.ca.
- •Development and Peace (Caritas Canada) has launched an emergency appeal following the catastrophic earthquakes in Venezuela. Visit devp.org to give.
- •World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul: Fr. Joseph Yuson is organizing the diocesan pilgrimage group (ages 19 to 35, July 26 to August 11, 2027). A detailed itinerary and costs are still to come. Fill out the non-committal survey to help with planning, or contact jyuson@rcdvictoria.org.
- •Seniors' section: the Canadian Dental Care Plan covers exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, dentures and more, and is free to apply for at canada.ca/dental or by phone with Service Canada at 1-833-537-4342. HandyDart, BC Transit's door-to-door accessible service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities, has application forms available at the church office.
- •Bottle recycling continues Saturdays 10 AM to noon. Aug. 1 raised $408.70. Thank you!
